Development Life Cycle (DLC) For product development projects AltaStream will either use its Development Life Cycle (DLC) or work according to the process preferred by our client. Our Development Life Cycle is based upon over 60 years of best practices for developing software products. This process coupled with our quality assurance approach helps to guarantee consistent project development that meets the requirements in a timely and cost effective manner. The following diagram illustrates the major stages of development (Note: stages 2 through 5 can be iterative). top Systems Integration Life Cycle (SILC) For systems integration projects AltaStream will use its Systems Integration Life Cycle (SILC) to deliver a completely integrated solution to our customer. For any development activities required as part of a solutions project AltaStream will utilize the Development Life Cycle (DLC) process. Our systems integration approach ensures that a customer gets what they want, when they want and on budget.   Maintenance Life Cycle (MLC) For product maintenance projects AltaStream uses its Maintenance Life Cycle (MLC) that has been developed from over 60 years of experience maintaining existing products and sustaining legacy products. It is a well defined methodology that fosters repeatable results, knowledge transfer, and highly integrated working relationships within our organization and with our clients, and results in high levels of productivity in maintenance projects. The initial stages of the project facilitate understanding the product, its scope, its current issues that need to be addressed, and the transition of that product to AltaStream for continued sustaining engineering. Once the transition is complete a steady state is achieved whereby AltaStream takes on responsibility for maintaining the product and resolving issues and defects, and implementing minor enhancements as required by our client to meet their customer needs. As required by the client AltaStream provides updates whether they are bug fixes, patches, minor releases or customer specific solutions. The following diagram illustrates the overall process.
